Apprentices with Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) from all over Australia have recently participated in ADA Australia’s BEST LIFE, BEST WORK Apprenticeship Development Program.

This ADA Australia training program was developed to directly address the work-day pressures and challenges that can undermine the careers and wellbeing of new or younger trades workers. Particularly those challenges around drugs, alcohol, work stress and tension and mental disorders (like anxiety and depression).

Keeping apprentices engaged, productive and keen to build careers in the trades is a key challenge for industry. Too many are lost before completion of their training due to problems not related to the workplace.

This training is to equip younger workers with strategies to deal with both workplace pressures as well as after-hours pressures (relationships and personal concerns, even managing ‘partying’ and wellbeing around alcohol and drugs).

For more than 50 years, Toyota Material Handling has been at the forefront of the Australian materials handling sector and has built a reputation for making forklifts more productive, safer and cost-effective.

An ADA Australia training program for your young apprentices can be a first step to getting ‘the culture’ and attitudes right for young tradies. Each is a full-day program delivered by ADA Australia’s experienced and qualified workplace trainers.
