ADA Australia and ETU National – Taking Mental Health and AOD Training Across Australia

June 15, 2023

Recently, the ADA team attended the ETU QLD and NT 2023 Biennial Conference in Surfers Paradise (a welcome change from Melbourne’s dreary winter weather).

Nothing brings the ADA team more satisfaction than to take our mental health and AOD training programs across state borders to workshops and conferences, or in conducting our face-to-face workplace training.

The strong relationship we have with the ETU National team has given us the opportunity to do just that. In the past twelve months, aside from training across all states, we have attended conferences in New South Wales, Tasmania and in our home state of Victoria, with a visit to the ETU Queensland and Northern Territory Conference our most recent trip.

Our passion is to provide support to as many people as we can through our training programs and the wellbeing resources and platforms we provide (including our new ‘Well Connect’ app and ADA’s Friendly Ear phone support line).

It is a privilege to work with the ETU on a national level and to be part of their consistent efforts to support the health and wellbeing of their membership base: their members always come first.

ADA Australia’s new ‘Well Connect’ App

ADA Australia is pleased to announce the launch of our new ‘Well Connect’ worker wellbeing app, and also very pleased for the support shown by the ETU National team.

We think, that as the app’s capability grows – and we’re putting a lot of effort into its functions – this will become an important wellbeing monitoring and support platform for Australian workers, particularly for those who may find it difficult to reach for support via other support services.

The App puts wellbeing information and support into every worker’s hands – it sits on their phones – and contains an easily accessed mental health and AOD monitor as well as a wealth of information and wellbeing audit tools through short videos and other easily digested wellbeing resources.

The ‘Well Connect’ app also provides connection though a ‘Let’s Chat’ option to ADA’s Friendly Ear support service.

We look forward to the next chapter of our relationship with ETU National, and the state branches we work alongside with. The ‘Well Connect’ app is only the beginning.
