Drugs, Alcohol and Workplace Risk Training

Drugs or alcohol are a factor in as many as one-in-ten workplace deaths and one-in-four reportable workplace accidents. The misuse of these substances has a significant negative impact on Australian business and is a work health and safety matter demanding the attention of both workers and management. This training will help participants better understand the health impacts of drugs and alcohol, of detection times following use, of the hazards they pose to safe work practices and their obligations under a Workplace Drugs and Alcohol Policy. Alongside this, the 'lived experience' approach to this training results in real-world awareness.
